How To Achieve Perfect Logical Flow In Your Writing
In achieving the perfect logical flow, one needs to make logical and easily understandable link between ideas, keeping your sentences clear and concise, using a strong topic sentence to begin your paragraphs to stir focus in the mind of your readers.
One of the most important features about writing is the logical flow of written piece. Logical flow is a critical part of writing and can be hard to achieve most times. It generally captures your inherent ability to take the reader on a tour through the ideas you have carefully outlined in the respective paragraphs. And this should be done conveniently and intuitively without any break.
In achieving the perfect logical flow, one needs to make logical and easily understandable link between ideas, keeping your sentences clear and concise, using a strong topic sentence to begin your paragraphs to stir focus in the mind of your readers.
In addition, it also requires varying your sentence structure and and maintaining the right intonation/sound, tempo and rythm.
First and foremost, you have to organize your thoughts by gathering necessary information needed to actualize your ideas, also you have to create an outline to arrange the key point you plan on discussing. In your proposed outline, you should clearly state, what each paragraphs aims to communicate, as well as the logical order to which your ideas will be linked or presented amongst the paragraphs.
This Logical connections helps you to perfectly take out ideas that will cause a break or knock off your readers interest and make them to abandoned your written content.
Secondly, every paragraphs of a writing piece should definitely have a focus, which is otherwise called Topic sentence. Primarily, topic sentences can be likened to a tourist being led by a toruist guide through a tourism destination. In addition, topic sentences are often captured in the first sentence of a paragraph, just like I have done to this very paragraph here. These preeceeding sentences will then explain the topic sentence/idea to the understanding of the reader.
Furthermore, keep your words and sentences as clear and concise as possible, to enable your reader flow through your content. Try to lower the ambiguity of your words so that you won’t end up showing your verbosity and not communicating. Note that, this does not in any way hinder you from maximizing different words and sentence structures. Variety in your words and sentence structure keeps your readers at the tip of their seat as they bask in the flow of your ideas through your content. Repeated words and sentence structures completely blocks the flow. Also, too many short sentences, grouped together, should be avoided as well, to eliminate a monotonous tone, that can cause friction in the minds of the audience.
Additionally, there is need for a guide between sentences which is made possible through intentional transitions mounted beautifully. They serve like mediators between sentences, or like bridges between to two communities, showing the reader how to move from one idea to another. It might require repeating key terms or phrases in your subject matter or using words like; however, additionally, in general, for instance, occasionally, also etc.
Finally, the rhythm which covers the intonation of the syllables, as well as the texture of the words matters a lot in the flow of your written content. In a situation, the written piece was read aloud, the reader should be able to change the pitches of the words conveniently and also know when to stop to observe a pause. This can only be achieved in a peiece with the perfect logical flow.
In general, writing fluently with the required logical flow is a powerful force, which can make your wrttien content persuasive, and also keep your readers engaged in your content, and at suspense at your every sentence from the beginning to the end.
